Sometimes, getting out of bed is the hardest thing of my day. The weight on my shoulders, feel way more than what I can carry.
The only things that gets me going, are my responsibilities and the realization, that if I were to only get things done, on the days I felt good, then I would barely get anything done at all!
I am sure, that many of you out there, have had similar struggles like me. Where, in spite of the efforts of staying positive and focused on your blessings. You would still find yourself gravitating towards the darkest spaces within your head. No matter how much you don’t want to throw in the towel, but you just can’t find the way to regain your ground.
I’ve learned a few things in life the hard way and for the purpose of sharing my personal experience, I would tell you that its not always the effort of getting ahead that makes you successful, but sometimes it’s just surviving the storm. Everyday comes with it’s own battles and it’s up to you, to emerge as the winner.
Life, at times, is like a treadmill, you can keep running, but you get nowhere. Similarly, in every situation that life throws at you, you need to be sure to know the difference between addressing the symptom or trying to eradicate the cause.
Addressing the symptom is like fueling a bad habit, it never goes away. Sooner or later it’s going to boomerang back in to the comfort of your lap. So, spend some quality time with yourself, understand what lies beneath, rip right into the heart of the problem and make sure that you don’t leave there, until you have settled the score with yourself. When you’re ready to move on, be sure that you are back in control and ready to be at the top of your game.
Strangely the irony is that everyone keeps searching for the quick fixes to life, only to find themselves deeper in pits that they created for themselves. Unfortunately, there are no quick fixes here. Fix yourself perfect the first time around!
Now, undoubtedly, almost everyone, I know, is in thier own persuit of happiness. Their goals and aspirations in itself may be very different from each other, but when achieved, the language of happiness, joy and content tends to speak the same on the same lines.
So, walk into life, like you own it, claim what’s yours and always speak positivity into your life, train your mind to see beyond the immediate struggles and focus on the goals that you have set for yourself and see your dreams come true.
